Why the Chevrolet Tahoe Is the Perfect Family SUV

The Chevrolet Tahoe is in its fifth generation – and is the most advanced version yet. Its dashboard is now mostly comprised of new touchscreen interfaces and has six trim levels available for customers.

When climbing into the cabin of the Tahoe, you can expect to be greeted with premium SUV luxury finishes. The range also has the Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine and meaty V8.

But is a luxury SUV a good idea for a family SUV?

The short answer is yes. Chevrolet has ensured that the Tahoe is the perfect SUV for the family. Here’s why:

Safety Is a Priority

A significant problem in the past with family cross-country trips is managing children in the backseat. With the Tahoe range, you can fit the Super Cruise Driver Assistance, which is compatible with 200,000 miles across the U.S. and Canada.

This means you can turn around from time to time to sort out issues. Or any backseat driver issues with ease.

It also comes with a forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking.

In total, there are six advanced safety and driver assistance features.

Loads of Space

The Chevrolet Tahoe has 7-8 seats. Third-row seats offer ample legroom, even for adults.

While a third-row seating arrangement will mean less storage space, the Tahoe can tow a large trailer.

The Chevrolet Tahoe is fitted with an in-vehicle app with a unique rear trailer function. It allows the driver to see through the trailer when reversing.

It will also monitor the profile of the trailer, pre-departure checklists, and trailer tire pressure and monitoring.

If you aren’t using the third-row seats, you can use the SUV’s 52 cubic feet of space. And if you’re planning on moving something in the vehicle, there are 95 cubic feet with the seats folded flat.

All-in-all, if you can easily transport the entire family and some friends while bringing along all their luggage.

Ride and Interior Comfort

It is fitted with first-in-class suspension and is also fitted to Z71 and High Country. The four-corner air ride adaptive suspension can be adjusted to suit the terrain.

And with this adjustable ride height, the passengers are guaranteed to get a better ride.

The interior is exceptionally comfortable, with supple leather seats and climate control in the back seats (three climate zones in total). Also, as mentioned, there is ample legroom throughout the vehicle.

Entertainment Throughout

As you’d expect, with a vehicle like the Tahoe, you can use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. While not an entertainment factor, starting the vehicle remotely is always fun

The climate control panels in the back seats are also equipped with multiple charging port options.

Chevrolet’s engineers include a 12.6-inch diagonal LCD color touch screen, bringing a natural theater feel to the cabin. And if you spring for the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, it comes with Google built-in and a Wi-Fi connection.

There is so much more on offer with the Tahoe, but where should you look for this additional information?

The Impressive Safety Features in the New Chevrolet Traverse

Over 100,000 Chevrolet Traverse SUVs are sold in the US each year. This is partly due to the fact that they provide extensive safety features to protect you and your family.

The team at Chevrolet knows that no matter how experienced or cautious a driver may be, there are times when accidents are unavoidable. They also know that with better safety features, many accidents can also be prevented.

The modern SUV from Chevrolet is designed for all of this.

When savvy buyers shop for an SUV, they know that MPG figures are not the only factor to consider. Keep reading to learn about the advanced safety features that come standard with the new Chevrolet Traverse.

Automatic Emergency Braking

Highly accurate sensors around the exterior of your Traverse will be on the lookout for any possible collision risks. In the event that you’re not able to respond fast enough, the AEB will employ the brakes.

Front Pedestrian Braking

If the sensors detect a pedestrian in front of your vehicle, this feature provides an in-car notification to warn the driver. It will brake hard if the driver doesn’t do it soon enough. Plus, it will provide extra stopping power when the driver brakes hard.

Forward Collision Alert

This feature warns you of dangers on the road ahead. It can detect stopped traffic and objects in the roadway. It can also warn you if the vehicle in front of you might be moving slower than you expect.

Following Distance Indicator

Leaving enough space between your car and the one in front of you is the easiest way to prevent a collision. This feature alerts you if you get too close so you can maintain a safe distance.

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning

This is one of the most important safety features you’ll get with the Chevrolet Traverse. We’d all prefer if no one ever got behind the wheel with too many distractions or other impairments. If it happens in your vehicle, the Lane Keep Assist will kick on to help your vehicle stay between the lines.

Automatic High Beam Assist

With this feature, your new Traverse will recognize oncoming traffic. If your high beams are on, they will adjust, making sure other drivers can see you clearly.

Optional with Chevrolet Traverse: Teen Driver Technology

Some situations call for a little extra safety that doesn’t apply to everyone. Chevrolet knows that making sure you’re not paying for features you don’t need is important. That’s why Teen Driver Technology is optional on most Chevrolet models.

So what can the Teen Driver Technology in the Chevrolet Traverse do? It can keep your teen safer than ever.

It can deactivate the ignition if the driver’s seatbelt isn’t in place. It can employ speed limitations and speed warning notifications to ensure they are driving safely. Plus, the audio volume limitations and audio mutability can help reduce distractions.

Getting on the Road

Combine the glowing reviews from news organizations and industry professionals with these impressive standard safety features and you’ll see why the Chevrolet Traverse stands out against the competition.

If you love these features but are looking for something a little different, be sure to check out our blog for more.

4 Things You Need to Know About the Chevrolet EV Models

Interest in electric and hybrid vehicles is high in the United States. A recent survey has found that nearly 60% of people have considered buying either an EV or a hybrid, with close to 20% saying they are specifically interested in a fully electric vehicle. There are, of course, many benefits to owning an EV, including cost-savings and supporting the environment.

If you are interested in learning about the latest Chevrolet EV, this blog post is for you. Here, we will highlight everything you need to know about the American car maker’s focus on EVs, including specs, charging, trims, and more. Let’s get started.

1. Does Chevrolet Have Electric Cars?

Yes, it does. For its 2022 lineup, Chevrolet has included two fully-electric vehicles. These are the Bolt EV and the Bolt EUV.

In the coming years, there are also plans for Chevrolet to launch more EVs, including the Blazer, the Silverado, and the Equinox. Put simply, it’s an exciting time for fans of both Chevrolet and electric vehicles.

2. The Current Range is Impressive

The Bolt EV has been around since 2017 and has continued to be improved upon since then. It comes with a single electric motor and a 65kWh 350V lithium-ion battery.

This will get you 266 lb-ft of torque and 200 horsepower. It has a driving range of an impressive 259 miles, with a charging time of 7 hours at 220V.

The Bolt EUV, meanwhile, is the all-new compact SUV. Those looking for more space than the Bolt EV should find this model a perfect option. It features a 200-hp electric motor with a 65.0-kWh battery pack.

The Bolt EUV has a driving range of 247 miles and a charging time of 7 hours at 220V.

3. There Are Different Trims to Choose From

On the Bolt EV, there are 2 different trims to choose from: the EV 1LT and the EV 2LT. The latter is more expensive, though it does come with a number of worthwhile upgrades. These include leather-appointed seats and HD surround vision with HD rear vision camera.

Likewise, the Bolt EUV comes in 2 trim levels: the base model and the Launch edition. The latter features a range of impressive features such as GM’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving mode.

4. They Have Fast Charging Capabilities

Both the Bolt EV and the Bolt EUV come with DC fast charging capabilities. This means they are able to provide up to 95 miles of driving range in just 30 minutes.

This is especially useful for when errands spring up out of the blue and you need quick access to your vehicle.

Understanding Chevrolet EV Models

The EV market in the United States is growing rapidly. As more states announce plans to ban the sale of gas-powered vehicles in the coming years, the demand for EVs is going to continue to grow.

Today, the Chevrolet EV range is leading the way. Both the Bolt EV and the EUV are among the best EVs you can choose from when looking for an electric vehicle.

4 Reasons Why You Should Consider the Chevrolet Equinox in the RS Trim

The IIHS has given the Chevrolet Equinox “Good” ratings for most categories, which makes it a top contender if you’re in the market for an SUV. The fact that it has a beautiful design doesn’t hurt either.

It’s got four trim levels to choose from, and the RS trim is new to 2022 models. If you ask us, this is the one to choose.

Here are four reasons why you need to get the RS trim of the Chevrolet Equinox.

1. It’s Got a Sporty Look

This trim has the most striking appearance out of all four options. On the outside, you’ll get sleek black accents in addition to the gloss black grille. The 19-inch Android Gray wheels pair these excellently.

The inside is impressive as well. There’s a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and black leather seats with red stitching.

When people see you on the road, they’ll definitely be jealous.

2. The Confidence and Convenience Packages Come Standard

Don’t you love getting things for free? Then you’ll love the Equinox’s RS trim. You won’t have to pay extra for these packages, which come with some cool features.

They include heated front seats, lane change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, dual-zone climate control, and a power tailgate.

3. You’ll Get the Turbocharged Engine Standard Too

If you want to feel power when you get behind the steering wheel, then the Equinox RS will give you exactly that. It comes standard with a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. You’ll get 170 HP and 203 lb-ft of torque from this powertrain.

A bonus of this powertrain is that it’s very fuel-efficient. Expect to get 25 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway.

4. It’s Got Lots of Tech

Driving isn’t just about grabbing the wheel, looking at the road, and putting your foot down on the gas pedal. It’s a whole experience, from how the seats feel on your skin to how the music sounds in your ears.

The RS trim of the Chevy Equinox gives you plenty of tech to work with, so you won’t be bored during your trips. But don’t worry, as they’re not hard to use either.

You’ll benefit from a remote engine starter, 360-degree camera, and front and rear parking sensors. You’ll also get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, hands-free park assist, four USB ports, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and satellite radio.

Pick the RS Trim of the Chevrolet Equinox

If you’ve made up your mind to buy the Chevrolet Equinox, then you need to opt for the RS trim. It’s a safe SUV, plus it has many standard features that make it worth every penny you pay.

So stop going back and forth between the four trims. Save yourself some time and pick the RS as the winner. You won’t regret it.
